My Story

I was born and raised in Denmark, and moved in my late twenties to Brussels where I live today with my Canadian husband and my three boys. Ever since I was very young I carried different cameras around, to be able to document my life with friends and family. The outcome was not stunning but I wanted to be able to store these moments in some way and it came to be in photos. That way I was sure that I would never forget them.

Today, I have hundreds of boxes of photos, and I have not been able to throw out a single one. Thanks to digital development I haven’t run out of storage space. Although I started at an early age, it took me many years before I found out that this was my real passion. I still ask myself how, after having carried around suitcases loaded with at least one polaroid camera, an old Pentax with a heavy zoom lens, one of those modern plastic ones from the 1980’s and my grandmothers Olympus TRIP 35, not to mention the video camera I had invested in as a 12 year old. I just wanted to capture the moments and keep them as long lasting memories in the form of prints.

Today, it has become a part of my everyday life, capturing moments, either with babies, children, families or at celebrations, and I simply love giving people a tiny moment in images that they can keep forever, just as I do…
